“The safety of both the Engine and Deck Officers serving aboard American flagged vessels located worldwide is essential to the operations of both the American Maritime Officers Plans (AMOP), the contracted Employers of AMO, and the country as a whole. Therefore, the mandate includes keeping all officers safe while training for recurrence requirements as well as upgrades in licensure.

While many tools, policies, and procedures have been introduced to carry out this mandate with success, we have been introduced to and are implementing an additional tool. That tool is the AirV2 Clean Air Dispersion Units engineered by Germ Free Labs.

Since installing over twenty AirV2 Units, confidence has grown that the air quality and complete dispersion within the areas needing protection make our facility safer. These units, along with our COVID Policies and Procedures, keeps our campus open and safe for training. No one has created a 100% proof way of defeating COVID. However, the combined efforts have kept our mandate alive and well.”
